Bryggen has become part of our common heritage, with its place on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

TROLDHAUGEN, EDVARD GRIEGS HOME
"Troldhaugen", built in 1885, was Edvard Grieg’s (1843-1907) home for 22 years, and is beautifully located at the Nordåsvannet lake in Bergen.
The house is today a museum and the furnishings in the living room are Grieg’s own from 1907. "The composer’s cottage" in the garden stands exactly as he left it, and on a cliff near the lake you can find the graves of both Edvard and Nina Grieg. Troldsalen, a chamber music hall with room for an audience of 200, was inaugurated in 1985, and in 1995 the new Edvard Grieg Museum was opened with exhibitions, multimedia-rooms, café etc.. Concerts every day during the Bergen International Arts Festival. Summer concerts.
